Providing Services for Women in Need
More than 800 women, children and teens attended the 25th Annual Women's Resource Fair on March 15, 2014. The upcoming 2015 Fair will provide resources and services such as assistance in applying for public benefits such as food stamps and Social Security; medical and dental services for women and children; confidential legal assistance with family law, child support, restraining orders, public benefits programs, immigration, housing, and consumer protection questions; job skills, education and employment counseling; seminars on job application skills, self-defense, and personal care; mental health services, including spiritual counseling; shelter referrals; and each woman will receive a donated gift-bag of toiletries.
San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, which hosts and organizes the annual Women's Resource Fair, would like to thank the many donors and volunteers who make the event possible through their generous support.
