Participants
The Women’s Resource Fair offers service, information and referrals to San Diego women and children in need. Women who participate receive medical, legal and social services, employment information and shelter referrals, as well as meals, child care and gift bags.
Services Include
Child Care
Breakfast, lunch and activities for children ages 1-16.
Financial Assistance
Help applying for TANF, Cal/Works, Medi-Cal, Food Stamps and Social Security.
Medical and Dental Services
Pap smears and mammograms for women and medical check-ups for children.
Legal Assistance
Family law, child support, domestic violence restraining orders, public benefits, immigration, housing, consumer protection and criminal law.
Jobs and Education
Education and employment counseling.
Seminars
Job application skills, self-defense and personal care.
Mental Health
Recovery support and counseling services.
Shelter
Referrals for shelter.
