DESCRIPTION:San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program will present an MCLE on how to obtain Special Immigrant Juvenile Findings for minor clients in Family Court. The specialized legislation that established “Special Immigrant Juvenile Status” allows undocumented immigrant minors who have suffered abuse\, abandonment and/or neglect to obtain legal residency status in the U.S. This MCLE will cover how to represent a client in Family Court during the first step in these proceedings\, so the client can subsequently move forward with a case in Immigration Court. \nDate & Time: June 26\, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. \nWhere: This webinar will take place online via Zoom. \nRegistration: Please email us at rvalenzuela@sdvlp.org to register by June 25 at 3 p.m. \nMCLE CREDIT: 1.0 hour – General Law \nThis activity has been approved for participatory Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California \n
