Criminal Vacatur Program

SDVLP represents survivors of human trafficking who have been unjustly criminalized as a result of their exploitation. This program uses a process called “vacatur” to help survivors erase nonviolent offenses from their criminal record, that were the direct result of their victimization. Vacatur relief is life-changing; it gives survivors a fresh start by removing barriers to employment, housing, higher education, family reunification and more.

To be eligible for SDVLP’s Vacatur Services, the applicant must be:

  • A survivor of human trafficking
  • Low-income
  • Living in San Diego County
  • With at least one arrest or conviction in Southern California
