SDVLP Launches Rebranding Campaign, Celebrating 40 Years of Serving San Diego

San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP) is proud to announce a rebranding campaign to celebrate a milestone of 40 years providing free legal services to some of the most disadvantaged populations in our region.

Established in 1983, SDLVP’s rebrand is focused on reinforcing our mission to provide equal access to the justice system by serving as a bridge between indigent and other disadvantaged people in San Diego County and the volunteer lawyers and others who are willing to donate their time and resources.

“We hope our rebrand can introduce us to a new generation of stakeholders who can help ensure that no San Diegan is forced to navigate the legal system alone, simply because they cannot afford an attorney,” said Jennifer Nelson, CEO of SDVLP. “The new brand reflects our colorful and diverse organization, volunteers and the more than 6,000 San Diegans we serve each year.”

SDVLP welcomed Nelson as CEO in 2021 and she has been reshaping and streamlining the organization to maximize its resources. The rebranding is part of a strategic effort to help identify not only potential new sponsors but also volunteers – law firms, lawyers, and law students – who have the willingness to give some time to those most in need.

SDVLP has four locations throughout the San Diego region, a staff of nearly 40 people and a roster of more than 3,000 volunteers.
